Renault plans new sales records in 2012


The French automotive group has elapsed 2,722,062 vehicles worldwide (up 3.6%) in 2011, despite a decline in Europe. Jerome Stoll, business manager of the firm to diamond, plans new historical sales this year, up 3 to 4%.

In 2012, Renault plans to "achieve 47% of its sales outside Europe, against 43% in 2011 and 37% in 2010." The group put the diamond in particular on new vehicles such as MPV Lodgy Dacia, the Renault ZoƩ power, and then the Clio IV in October. "The Duster 4x4, which is a great success, for its part will be" developed in Russia this year and in India. Last year, the firm has passed 2,722,062 vehicles worldwide, up almost 95,000 units over the previous year (3.6%) and a Malagasy down 5.7% to 1,549,376 units in Europe. The market share of the group fell on the Old Continent to 10.1% only. However, the consortium has grown from 25% to 397,000 units in the Americas, 13% to 309,000 in the European region (Romania, Turkey and North Africa), 60% to 170,808 in Eurasia (Russia and former Soviet republics of Central Asia). Asia-Africa, growth is much lower (3.2%) to 296,000, but it should be noted a doubling in Iran at 95,000.

Sales of the Renault brand itself rose 6.8% last year and represent 83% of the volume group. Romanian brand Dacia edged down 1.8%. As for the Korean company Samsung Motors Renault, it decreased by 27%. The progression of the Renault brand is however to the credit, including vehicles "Entry" entry-level, distributed as ... Dacia label in Europe and North Africa, but under the label of the diamond anywhere else ... This line "Entry" (Logan, Sandero, Duster ...) "30% of Renault sales, against 26% in 2010. It is expected to reach 33% in 2012.
